ABOUT US

EML Renewables is the company in the EML SA group that owns renewable assets.

EML Renewables currently owns a group of six companies that hold assets across the country, with a total installed capacity of 235.4 MW: Carreço-Outeiro II, in the 
district of Viana do Castelo; Terra Fria, in the district of Vila Real; Mosqueiros II and Vale de Estrela, in the 
district of Guarda; Bravo and Mougueiras, in the district of Castelo 
Branco; and Mértola, in the district of Beja.

Our wind farms

Carreço-Outeiro II

The Carreço-Outeiro II wind farm is located in the municipality and district of Viana do Castelo and went into full commercial operation in 2010. With an output of 13.8 MW, it consists of 6 (2.3 MW/wind turbine), E-82 / ENERCON.

Terra Fria

Terra Fria Wind Farm is the northernmost wind farm in mainland Portugal. It is located in the municipality of Montalegre, in the district of Vila Real, and went into full commercial operation in 2010. With a capacity of 104 MW, it consists of 2 wind farm sub-parks: Montalegre (58 MW) – 29 wind turbines; Facho-Colmeia (36 MW) – 18 wind turbines and 5 wind turbines (10 MW) – 23 total wind turbines.

Vale de Estrela

The Vale de Estrela wind farm is located in the municipality and district of Guarda and went into full commercial operation in 2014. With a capacity of 25.3 MW, this wind farm consists of 11 ENERCON E-92 wind turbines of 2.3 MW each.

Mosqueiros II

The Mosqueiros II Wind Farm is located in the municipality and district of Guarda and went into full commercial operation in 2009. With a capacity of 24.6 MW, it consists of 12 ENERCON wind turbines – 10 E-82 wind turbines with 2 MW of unit power and 2 E-92 wind turbines with 2.3 MW.

Mougueiras

The Mougueiras Wind Farm is located in the municipality of Oleiros, in the district of Castelo Branco, and went into full commercial operation in 2009. With a capacity of 8 MW, it consists of 4 ENERCON E-82 wind turbines of 2 MW each.

Bravo

The Bravo Wind Farm is located in the municipality of Oleiros, in the district of Castelo Branco, and went into full commercial operation in 2009. With a capacity of 16 MW, it consists of 8 ENERCON E-82 wind turbines of 2 MW each.

Mértola

The Baixo/Alentejo Wind Farm is the southernmost asset in EML Renewables portfolio in mainland Portugal. It is located in the municipality of Mértola, in the district of Beja, and went into full commercial operation in 2013. With a capacity of 43.7 MW, it consists of 19 ENERCON E-92 wind turbines of 2.3 MW each.
